Job Description
Using python, C, C++, bash shell, or another language relevant to the task, an Engineering Technician will write test execution and analysis code and scripts. These scripts and code will run tests, collect test artefacts, process test artefacts to decide pass/fail, and save the results in a stack. Work on the stack will be done to consume and visualize the data, as well as report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). They’ll be able to work independently, document and present their findings, and troubleshoot problems.

Qualifications:
- Organizes public outreach and creates information for distribution; draughts letters and bulk mailings for project explanations; answers to construction enquiries; and responds to citizen concerns, inquiries, and complaints.
- Responds to and repairs equipment that has ceased working or has failed mechanically. Problem-solving (when necessary). Replaces worn/defective parts, motors, and control devices, among other things.
- Various preliminary judgments have been made on technical compliance concerns for various residential and commercial designs, permits, reports and studies. We work directly with outside architects and engineers to solve issues, document the project’s specifics, and offer adjustments that will help us remain on schedule if anything goes wrong.
- All necessary permits and contract documents are prepared; construction specifications are developed and reviewed for compliance with established rules and regulations; bid proposals are organized and cost estimates are calculated; materials, labor, and equipment costs are reviewed for accuracy; and technical construction guidance is provided as necessary.
- Maintains electronic and hardcopy records of daily departmental activity, as well as complete project records and design/drawing files for assigned projects, and keeps database files up to date as necessary.
- Participates in field and topography surveys for design assignments, as well as stake/field layout design components for construction projects; assesses road conditions and decides required remedial steps to repair or resurface highways; inspects work sites to verify designs and project requirements are being followed; He has many fiefdoms to manage.
- Verifies third-party contractor calculations utilizing in-depth knowledge of engineering concepts and methods and calculates ratios, volumes, angles, grades, construction quantities, and other project components as stipulated by the project requirements.
- Engineers that work in this field use GPS, GIS, and CADD software to plan and build huge and complex engineering projects that are linked to public infrastructure. They develop comprehensive engineering drawings as well as maps, plats, and other displays.
- Interprets maps and plats; provides written legal descriptions of property; compiles information relevant to compliance with grants, permits, and environmental rules; and prepares and/or updates various maps using CAD.

Skills:
- To be eligible, you must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer system engineering, or a closely related engineering degree.
- Roadway design software and computer processes must be understood on a practical level. The internet, spreadsheets (including Microsoft Excel), word processors (including Microsoft Word), state road and bridge software, and other applications as necessary or requested are all examples of computer-related items that may be used.
- Three years of surveying, drafting, and sub-professional civil engineering work experience; or any similar combination of education, training, and experience that offers the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position.
- All candidates who have been provisionally approved for VA employment in a testing-specified job are submitted to a urinalysis in order to screen for illegal drug usage prior to being appointed to their positions. Applicants who refuse to take the exam will have their applications rejected by the Veterans Administration.
