Qualifications:
- Assists the other department heads in the community to provide the best possible care for the inhabitants.
- Personnel management includes everything from hiring and training employees to evaluating their performance and conducting professional development programs. Ensures that the department’s overall operational objectives are met or supported by the group’s productivity and activities.
- Establishes and follows departmental budgets for staff, revenue, and/or costs. Responds to corporate developments that may compromise the organization’s ability to accomplish budget targets.
- Daily rounding should be visible and present to facilitate patient flow and to ensure patient and provider satisfaction. Available to respond immediately and expeditiously to hurdles or impediments to everyday processes. Create a staffing strategy that takes consumer expectations and cost limits into account. Create a climate conducive to good transformation via staff participation and feedback.
- Facilitates interviewing, hiring, and training employees; teaching, mentoring and directing work; performance appraisals, rewards and recognition, disciplining employees, and addressing complaints, and resolving conflict.
- Respond to patient complaints; assess and decide whether or not the issue should be escalated based on the scenario, possible danger, effective resolution, clinical care concerns, and other factors.
- Respect the rights of patients/residents to express complaints and self-determination.
- Communicates and interacts often with physicians/providers to give direction and oversight about effective scheduling, efficient clinic work flow, and patient flow, as well as to establish and maintain a cooperative, trusting relationship with them.
- Health care facility residents’ activities are conceived and implemented by this person. He is in charge of overseeing a large number of people at the Healthcare Center, including junior supervisors and volunteers.
- Work plans and long-term and short-term goals are implemented by direct reports with the help of their manager. Improves support processes and systems while also putting in place infrastructure. The site’s goals are carried out and completed.
Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college is required for employment in the fields of health care or business administration.
- Possess a working understanding of all state and federal long-term care rules (including those relating to Medicare reimbursement).
- Must have the capacity to lead and the desire to work together with and oversee other workers.
- Personnel, residents/patients, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public must all be treated with sensitivity.
- Healthcare management and/or resident service management positions need at least two years of relevant experience
