Job Description
The Financial Specialist reports to the Supervisor and must be able to execute financial transactions relating to group and individual billing, ACH procedures, and cash receipt processing. Updating, balancing and terminating group and individual receivables. Process group admin fees and vendor payments. Invoice for third-party administrator (TPA) claims processing and financing.

Qualifications:
- Monitors and reports on the state and progress of work, examines work in progress and after completion for quality, conformity to instructions and to ensure goals are reached.
- In order to acquire support for and buy-in for systems/solution integration efforts and process reengineering activities, communicate with and collaborate with multiple levels of management and users.
- In addition to monthly fee calculations and spreadsheets that show rolling monthly data for the last 12 months, the Associate Analyst needs help with a lot of other things.
- Process and confirm manual changes provided to the HealthCare Processing System’s group ledger for PCMI, Western Growers Assurance Trust (WGAT), and individual accounts (COBRA).
- Journal entries, expenditure reclassification, and cash receipts are some of the transactional accounting documents that need to be processed by the accounting department.
- To make sure that vendors are paid, check the payroll deduction database often and use reports from the billing administrator that say that payments haven’t been made. Monthly, payroll deductions, benefit plans, and invoices are compiled with checks to make sure they are correct. Vendor payments are done correctly. Ad hoc analysis can be done as needed.
- Serves as the acknowledged authority in the analysis and direction of financial programs and problems, including the planning, scheduling, and execution of large projects involving analysis, assessment, and development, and supports the Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) Program’s functioning..
- Effectively creates, executes, and advises on agency-wide policies and controls for the proper procurement, allocation, distribution, obligation, and spending of monies in authorized budgets
- Proactively communicate with various levels of management and users to acquire support for system/solution integration and process reengineering activities.
- Business, compliance, and information technology teams should collaborate to offer effective support for forward-looking financial and compliance initiatives, including solutions and procedures that promote growth while increasing efficiency.
Skills:
- Experience in the accounting or finance industry may be substituted for the required Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related area.
- Ability to plan and organize work assignments; to teach, motivate, and assist subordinate colleagues in the use of automated data processing principles and system capabilities; to effectively complete tasks.
- The ability to handle complex projects involving international project teams demonstrates exceptional project management talents.
- a working knowledge of budgeting and financial management methods and strategies.
- You need to know how to use end-user office software like calendaring and word processing but also how to work with a Health Care system that isn’t on the market.
