Qualifications:
- A Rigger’s job is to put up heavy lifting equipment and secure it using pulleys, ropes, and hoists so that it may be used securely. In the course of operations, this person does physical work.
- When installing, riggers are typically called upon to operate at heights of twelve to sixty feet, which need the usage of safety equipment and even climbing.
- Inspects, tests, and maintains rigging equipment such as planks, fiber ropes, wire ropes, chains, swing scaffolds, and so on.
- Items, machinery, and equipment must be lifted and lowered securely to and from work platforms, trucks, streets, or other floors of buildings or vessels.
- Although most rigging installation jobs demand individual initiative and judgment, working as part of a team is crucial.
- To guarantee the safety of employees and goods, signals or verbally advises personnel involved in lifting and transferring loads.
- Head blocks, sheaves, winches, counterweighted, and dead-hanging system components are tested and drilled and fastened.
- The installation of hardware to existing buildings, the installation of hanging pipes, beams or trackers and hardware to concrete, steel, wood and block walls are only some of the specific tasks included in this project.
- The effective execution of this role requires consistent punctuality, attendance, and absence reporting in accordance with corporate regulations.
- Work entails securing and securing loads to rigging in order to move them using hand and power tools.
Skills:
- Under general supervision, moves, laces, and secures large things such as machinery and/or structural elements using rigging equipment, ladders, and gear; does associated tasks.
