Full-Time BUS DRIVER – Suez
Job Description
All kids are transported between home and school by a School Bus Driver who is safe, polite, and on time. In line with state legislation and department of education standards, transports kids to and from authorized stops in a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications:
- Operate a vehicle on an allocated route in a safe and timely way to carry people to and from defined places, as well as associated operations.
- Maintain the allocated bus in a clean and hygienic condition at all times by sweeping, wiping down all seats and the roof, and washing it.
- Whenever possible, collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and other passengers to promote the goodwill of the company.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and its special equipment and submit required documentation to administration
- Always present yourself in a professional manner by wearing correctly for the work, grooming nicely, and keeping up with your personal hygiene needs.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle and its component components in accordance with the company’s specifications to guarantee safety, reduce wear, and prolong the vehicle’s useful life.
- Maintain route papers, including time revisions, and notify the supervisor immediately. Maintain good work habits by finishing daily duties and extra trips on time.
- Transfer vehicle keys, fueling slip receipts, and pre- and post-trip papers to dispatch as directed by your supervisor.
- When boarding and releasing people with disabilities from specially designed elevators, use only responsible and safe ways.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before to, during, and after each trip, following established procedures, and completing all necessary paperwork and reports. Drive the car safely and responsibly, stopping to allow passengers to enter and depart.
Skills:
- A documented driving history of at least 3 years is required. In the last three years, there had been no more than two moving infractions and one avoidable collision.
- A valid Class B or higher commercial driver’s license with passenger and school bus endorsements is necessary.
- This position requires someone who can work well with others, is adaptable, and can step in when required.
- Capable of lifting, storing, disassembling/reassembling wheelchairs weighing up to 40 pounds, as well as any other ambulatory equipment required by the passenger.
- It’s common for school bus drivers to stomp on the emergency brake pedal or push a button before loading and unloading children, and then remove the emergency brake by pulling or depressing a lever or pressing the air brake button.
