Job Description

The Accounts Payable Manager supervises all accounts payable processes for Company and guarantees timely payments of vendor bills and expense vouchers. This person keeps in touch with staff, suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Plan, develop, implement, and maintain effective procedures and controls over the accounts payable and procurement processes, while ensuring that internal controls are created and functioning properly.
  • Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable at several (national and regional) locations utilizing cheque, ACH, credit card, and wire payment methods.
  • Conduct interviews and give proposals for new workers, provide or arrange training, review employee performance, and make recommendations for staffing measures in order to supply adequate and competent personnel in the accounts payable department. Supervisor of A/P Management and Control
  • Support regional managers with buying activities such as requesting quotes, selecting vendors, negotiating contracts, establishing new vendor accounts, and maintaining existing client relationships.
  • This individual is well-versed in the lease terms and conditions (deposits, abatements, TI allowances, rent schedules, share of property taxes, CAM).
  • Controlling the month-end closure of accounts payable can guarantee all operations are completed on time.
  • You must assign assignments, evaluate the quality of the work generated, and make decisions on how to continue going ahead to cope with procedural and technical challenges. Work outcomes should be monitored, and management should be presented with metric data.
  • Evaluate current processes and systems and offer modifications to increase efficiency, maintain proper job segregation, and internal controls.
