Job Description

In your role as Creative Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing original strategies and creative parameters for all of our products, both new and old. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of designers (including graphic designers, industrial designers, photographers, illustrators, etc.), working closely with external consultants, freelancers, and agency partners, and contributing to multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams (including strategists, marketers, copywriters, etc.). When presenting to upper management, the Creative Director will do so with self-assurance and modesty, despite the importance of the tasks at hand. The position of Creative Director requires someone who can defend their work and explain the reasoning behind it while still being receptive to new ideas and criticism. It is crucial to your success in this field that you are able to articulate your vision both orally and visually. Candidates for this role should be at ease in and open to new situations, such as those found in brainstorming sessions and other forms of group work.

Qualifications:

  • Takes an active role in brand briefings; effectively accepts and challenges alternate recommendations based on brand creative strategy.
  • Allows the imaginative process to keep in close contact with the business’s other stakeholders.
  • Delivers polished client presentations that are clear, succinct, and direct, engaging, aesthetically captivating, and persuasive, and that are backed by a solid justification and plan.
  • provides the internal creative department with projects that are both unique and grounded in a well-defined creative strategy, thereby bolstering the department’s overall efforts.
  • Partners with the Account Management lead and department leadership to define budgets, schedules, and deliverables, as well as to verify budget constraints are met.
  • keeps the stock’s visual identity consistent across translations and allows for further branding. The appropriate brand assets (identity guidelines, etc.) are stored, preserved, and disseminated.
  • Keep up with trends and innovation; research the creative industry.
  • Examines team-wide creative projects and offers subordinates direction, coaching, and mentoring.

  • Assists internal and external partners to represent the governance and equity of core brands; acts as a constant equity champion to maintain brand continuity both inside and outside the firm.

Skills:

  • Six years of professional experience in graphic design, communications, or advertising (including package design), with increasing levels of responsibility, and a master’s degree in a related field.
  • professional at maintaining composure under pressure, accepting of change, and juggling multiple tasks at once.
  • Ability to use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator at an intermediate level.
  • knowledge of packaging design, including standard design, production, and cost factors.
  • Proficient in defining and developing design strategies, with experience refining designs at every stage from inception through development and deployment.
