The Director of Finance is in charge of all long-term financial issues and is charged with establishing corporate-wide financial and administrative goals, policies, programs, and procedures that guarantee the company’s long-term financial stability. safeguards the integrity of funds and other important documents while managing the flow of money through the company. accountable for all financial reporting, internal controls, and systems. oversees all facets of operational accounting, such as general ledger, accounts payable, and financial reporting. carries out the design, execution, and evaluation of employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices for the human resources department. Qualifications:
- Allows the company to keep tabs on all orders, amend them to make sure they follow company policy, and make it easier to retrieve any records that were created as a result of those orders.
- compiles operations statistics and special reports, like interim and year-end financial statements, as well as establishes and implements accounting regulations. Ensures that all financial transactions and records are recorded accurately and maintained by the company’s accounting system.
- Controlling the company’s cash flow is a top priority. Included in this mandate is the discretion to set payment terms for bills and financial commitments, as well as the right to determine credit, collections, and purchasing practices.
- creates, coordinates, and manages an adequate strategy for the control of operations, such as profit planning, plans for capital investing and financing, sales projections, spending budgets, and cost standards, as well as the proper controls and processes to carry out the plan.
- Sets up and oversees monetary procedures and policies. Provides assistance to the company’s and principals’ external tax advisors in the providing of data on a quarterly or more regular basis as required to forecast the company’s taxable income and build tax planning solutions. Responsible for coordinating the efforts of third-party tax preparers in completing the company’s annual income tax filings.
- Compares performance with operating plans and standards, and reports and interprets the results of operations to all levels of management.

Skills:

- familiarity with accounting practices such as budgeting, costing, and payroll processing, as well as setting up and analyzing financial results.
- competent in analysis, organizing, and both oral and writing communication.
- Needed software includes Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and a financial accounting package.
- Eight or more years of financial management and accounting experience.
