Qualifications:

• You’ve worked as a forensic accountant, a certified public accountant, or in a similar field for at least three years.
• A master’s degree in accounting is greatly recommended.
• Before sending claims to the carrier, review claim evaluations and reports to ensure that the proper calculations have been completed.
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics is required for employment in this industry.
• A detailed understanding of the various legal and regulatory challenges that a business may face.
• Flexibility, as well as the ability to travel when necessary, are critical.
• GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) knowledge is essential (GAAP).
• Communicates with the insured or the claims adjuster when necessary.
• If you have a CPA or CFE license, that is ideal.
• Two administrative duties that must be handled are keeping track of time and preparing bills.

Skills:

• Microsoft Office and computer savvy.
• Communication abilities, both written and spoken, are required.
• Expertise in investigation and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, as well as the capacity to make mature decisions are also required.
• Ability to manage projects effectively.
