Full-Time EHS Facilities Technician – Culaba
Job Description
The Facilities Technician reports to the Facilities Supervisor and is responsible for the care of the company’s buildings and grounds, as well as the upkeep of all allocated equipment. Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs all corporate buildings and grounds, including roads, parking lots, ditches, and other related locations. Including, but not limited to, general cleaning, painting, flooring, door and hardware repair, roofing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and concrete work.

Qualifications:
- The department’s objectives may be achieved by setting an example of excellent work habits and working together as a team.
- Facility managers may use a work order management system to plan maintenance, projects and other general work orders to satisfy the department’s important requirements.
- Even the most basic or complicated requirements of a given facility must be met in order for technicians and other employees to work there.
- Building, structural, and grounds maintenance requires a wide range of semi- and skilled work. Take care of any problems that may arise with the structure (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs)
- In order to be the team’s work leader, you need to figure out and assign regular, operational responsibilities to the people who work for you.
- By conducting detailed entity monitoring and problem management, as well as making suggestions and work orders, and supervising the execution of complicated facility improvement projects, this position ensures that customers have the best possible experience and service levels.
- It helps people communicate openly and professionally in order to create mutual understanding via role modeling by example. Clear and professional communication promotes both work efforts and issue resolution, ensuring the best possible service for both customers and patients.
- Analysis, troubleshooting, and difficult maintenance repair Ensures proper system and device installation in accordance with regulations, ordinances, and laws. Performs preventive maintenance checks of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, and maintains and tests department emergency systems. If needed, escalates to Lead Tech/Supervisor to get clarity and make successful corrections.
- Installs and changes alarms, trend configurations, and high-level data analysis and alarm report functions.
- Helps Facilities Assistants/Technicians develop confidence in their skills, knowledge, and talents by guiding and mentoring them. Peer-to-peer accountability is used to achieve departmental objectives for employee retention and engagement.
Skills:
- Performs at a high level of competence and safety, as measured by continual reviews of skills, competency, and performance.
- The ability to speak, read, and write well in English is vital for this position, particularly when it comes to actions that might jeopardize patient or staff safety or security.
- Equivalent to a high school graduation or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate are required (examples include: GED, verification of homeschool equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)
- Knowledge in at least one trade, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling, and general upkeep, to a high level of proficiency.
- Standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting the upper body, working in tiny openings and climbing hand over hand, lifting 50 lbs., and working on ladders/lifts in environments prone to noise, heat, dust, or cold are all part of the job description.
