Full-Time Facilities Technician – Cairo
Job Description
The Facilities Technician works for the Facilities Supervisor and helps with the upkeep of the company’s buildings and grounds. He or she is also in charge of all the equipment that is assigned to him or her. Performs a wide range of complex tasks to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all of the company’s facilities and grounds, including roads, parking lots, ditches, and other parts of the grounds. In addition to general cleaning, painting, flooring, door and door hardware repair and other maintenance work, there are many other things that need to be done.

Qualifications:
- Assists in identifying complicated facility improvements, producing suggestions and work orders, and monitoring their execution in order to enhance customer experience and service levels.
- In order to function as a work leader for the team, assign regular, operational responsibilities to allotted personnel in accordance with the work priorities that have been established.
- This person serves as a role model for the acts that contribute to a good work environment and promotes teamwork in the workplace.
- Schedule maintenance, projects, and general work orders using a work order system to satisfy important criteria for the facilities department
- Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs complicated mechanical systems. Ensures that systems and equipment are correctly installed in accordance with regulations, ordinances, and laws. Maintains and tests the department’s emergency systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, as needed. If required, escalates to the Lead Tech/Supervisor to get further information and reference materials for efficient repairs.
- Examine daily records to verify that the facility’s core plant and daily operations, including minor and complicated facility demands, are properly maintained.
- Installs and changes alarms, trend configurations, and high-level data analysis and alarm report functions.
- Helping Facilities Assistants/Technicians gain confidence in their talents and expertise by guiding and mentoring them. Employee retention and engagement are improved via the use of peer-to-peer accountability toward department objectives.
- Many semi- and skilled activities go into building, structural, and grounds maintenance. Ensure the building’s problems are dealt with (climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies and repairs)
- helps to create mutual understanding and role modeling by example via open, professional communication (both verbal and nonverbal). In order to provide the best possible service to each and every customer and patient, clear and professional communication is crucial.
Skills:
- At least two languages are required for these professions, with a focus on patient and employee safety and security.
- The equivalent of a high school diploma (examples include: GED, verification of homeschool equivalency, partial or full completion of post-secondary education, etc.)
- Working in noisy, dusty, or frigid conditions, lifting 50 lbs., and standing, squatting, kneeling, and twisting one’s upper body are all part of the job, as are working in small spaces with one’s hands tied behind one’s back while doing so.
- Trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing and electrical work as well as painting and roofing and heating and cooling are required. The ability to do basic maintenance tasks is also useful.
- Ongoing skills, competence, and performance evaluations are used to establish the abilities and competencies required to properly do the given task
