Qualifications:
- Employees, supervisors, managers, and other stakeholders are counselled and given technical help on issues such as workers’ compensation and fitness for duty decision.
- This position necessitates consistent and predictable attendance, as well as the ability to do tasks properly and adhere to all safety standards and procedures.
- Investigate accidents and work with management and staff to design preventative steps to avoid future catastrophes. Implement the plan and monitor the results.
- Assist with the project’s safety plan and zero-accident culture implementation (s).
- This individual develops and implements hearing conservation, chemical inventory/control, hazardous communications/SDS, ergonomics, and other programs. Annual audiometric testing is scheduled and either provided or arranged.
- Managers and supervisors are given guidance and assistance in creating a safe working environment. It is suggested that you purchase, use, and install safety or hazard control equipment.
- Assist with the updating and auditing of Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Lockout Procedures, as well as ensuring that personnel are appropriately taught in them.
- Ensures that all required safety-related equipment and system testing, inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs are carried out on time. Ascertains that flaws are evaluated for ILSM risk and dealt with in line with policy.
- Participates in and conducts safety meetings. Plan, prepare, and present or organize the delivery of safety-related trainings to a number of departments on a monthly basis.
- Conduct routine safety inspections to detect workplace dangers and put in place hazard controls before an accident occurs. Determine whether any staff are engaging in risky safety behaviors and, if so, whether they require more training.
