Qualifications:

  • Maya is a strong tool for producing directional animations. Assist the director in developing animation that is consistent with the visual aesthetic of the program. Follow established file management, project management, and version control protocols.
  • Create accurate representations of the clothes and hair that characters wear, for instance. Putting the finishing touches on the shot work by developing simulations and animations for the cloth. Creatively resolving problems is one way to accomplish art direction for a photograph.
  • Independent problem-solving is crucial. Express your creative ideas and follow the aesthetic direction. Deformations, procedural modeling, and animation are needed.
  • They engage with the creative director, graphic designer, and others involved in the project to provide a revisualization of the final product. Examples of this kind of production include storyboards, live-action video, and 3D blocking.
  • Change vendor-provided animations, rigs, and skin weights as needed. Resolve technical difficulties including animation and rigging by collaborating with art and engineering teams.
  • Use techniques for managing time and tools for keeping track of production to meet deadlines and milestones. Talk to creative and production staff and employees in the right way.
  • If you’re working within the technical constraints of mobile games, you may rig and skin characters rapidly, allowing you to generate convincing and acceptable character animations from a variety of intellectual properties.
  • Acquire new knowledge and skills via regular industry research, product evaluations, and training in the use of new software. Work as a team member who shows consideration for others.
  • Build and maintain the animations that will bring our game world to life in order to provide an engaging, immersive gaming experience. New characters may be animated from scratch, while old characters can be supported and expanded upon.
  • Work with the character art team, systems designers, and engineers to make sure that the vision, the creation, and the use of animation assets are all the same. Work with the technical teams to make procedures and pipelines for character animation that can be done in real time.

Skills:

  • It takes anywhere from three to five years of experience to create CG animation pre-visualizations, concepts, and characters. More essential to me than utilizing Maya is the initial layout and story.
  • Strong comprehension of classical animation concepts and basics, visual/technical animation mechanics understanding Experienced in gameplay animation, able to use multiple techniques/styles
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required, with a preference given to those with backgrounds in computer science, computer graphics, or computer animation (Recent graduates considered).
  • It’s a plus if you can compose scenes, shots, cameras, and people; cinematic staging, blocking, cinematography, and editing are all important skills to have.
  • Strong technical expertise in animation pipelines and procedures, from idea to execution; 2+ years of industry experience; and 2D creatures must be rigged and animated quickly.
