- Using machine totals, prepare deposit slips, and advise the Guest Services Manager on daily bank status, balance daily payments and expenditures. Changes must be made
- After guests check out, we can evaluate whether they were pleased. If you can’t solve an issue within the company’s rules and regulations, call a supervisor.
- Contribute to the success of several other departments, including Breakfast, Social, Housekeeping, and Laundry, amongst others. Maintain the cleanliness of the hotel’s restrooms, lobby, and any other public areas.
- All arriving guests must be registered, with all necessary information, a completed registration card, and a payment mechanism established. Accept and record credit card and picture ID information on guest accounts, as well as providing change as necessary.
- Serving guests quickly, politely, and professionally Maintain outstanding service and hospitality, and swiftly and successfully resolve guest concerns and complaints.
- Greet them right away with a polite and genuine greeting. Use a happy and clear speaking voice, listen to comprehend requests, reply appropriately, and give correct information such as store hours and nearby attractions.
- Help clean any area of the hotel assigned by management, including the front desk, associate break room, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells, and communal spaces.
- Offering outstanding service to guests requires a warm smile and assistance in acquiring information about the guest and area attractions. The enjoyment of guests takes precedence over the research of potential new income streams.
- Maintain the privacy and security of hotel information, communications, reports, and files. Manage all incoming and outgoing booking requests Care for lost and found things according the General Manager’s instructions.
- A high school diploma or a GED is necessary. Experience at the front desk for a minimum of three years and proficiency in using computers are required.
- This role requires a thorough understanding of property management software. It is imperative that all shift reports be reviewed and audits are conducted as planned.
- To gather and submit data in a timely and reliable way, rather sophisticated computer abilities are necessary. It is crucial to be able to hear and recognize the early warning signals of an impending crisis.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers who need patience, tact, and diplomacy to temper anger, gather proper information, and resolve difficulties.
- Capable of standing and moving about the front office while performing necessary work duties Able to read, listen, and speak and write in English.
