Qualifications:
- Gather information on chemicals utilized at Tesla’s research facilities, including toxicological and safety data. Also provide suggestions for reducing or eliminating exposure to these compounds.
- A ventilation review should be planned and implemented. This inquiry should also involve equipment selection and calibration, as well as performance measurement, data analysis, and comparison to relevant standards.
- Management of complete exposure assessments, industrial hygiene surveys, and the creation of industrial hygiene reports.
- Execute hazard categorizations in the industrial and administrative workplaces, taking into account worker demographics, procedures, hazards, and controls.
- In addition to submitting Total Quality improvement recommendations and participating in the IDEA and PACE programs, this person exhibits the attributes of Total Quality.
- Identify relevant analytic techniques, choose appropriate equipment, calibrate the equipment, establish a laboratory interface, and undertake sample programs, which should include data processing and interpretation.
- Inspections of designated workplaces to verify that prescribed risk reduction measures are in place, as well as providing current data describing the workplaces, identifying processes, and flagging important risks or trends.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of employees and visitors by conducting expert evaluations and inspections of physical conditions, operational methods, and other aspects. Proposes and coordinates activities to be taken in response to the findings of reports.
- Consult with top management and project officials, using the most current knowledge on industrial hygiene laws, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Improve employee awareness of safety precautions, industrial hygiene, and environmental regulations.
Skills:
- Comprehends and employs advanced technical knowledge of IH rules, standard concepts, practices, principles, and methodologies; has working knowledge of relevant IH practices and applications.
- Ensuring continued compliance with the BMBL, OSHA standards, and other relevant laws and regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Hygiene, an Environmental Safety and Health discipline, a scientific or engineering discipline, or another subject related to the needs of the role is preferred.
- effectively presenting client presentations and creating written reports with great results.
- know how to perform respirator medical clearance, audiometry, and substance-specific testing.
