Qualifications:

  • Cooperates with other community department heads to provide the best possible care for residents at all times.
  • This role plans, develops, organizes, evaluates, and implements programs and activities for residents. This individual is in charge of the Healthcare Center’s staff and volunteers.
  • Interacts and interacts with physicians/providers on a frequent basis to offer guidance and supervision of effective scheduling, efficient clinic work flow, and patient flow, as well as to create and maintain a cooperative, trusting relationship with them.
  • Respect patients’/residents’ rights to fair and equal treatment, as well as their rights to self-determination, individuality, privacy, property, and civil rights, such as the ability to file wage grievances.
  • Personnel, revenue, and/or costs are budgeted and adhered to in accordance with the department’s policies and procedures. Responds to changes inside the organization that might put the company’s ability to accomplish budget goals in jeopardy.
  • Respond to patient complaints; assess and decide whether or not the issue should be escalated based on the scenario, possible danger, effective resolution, clinical care concerns, and other factors.
  • Directs reports in completing work plans and achieving long and short-term goals. Changes to supporting processes and systems, as well as infrastructure at the site level. The site’s objectives have been executed and finished.
  • Personnel management includes everything from hiring and training employees to evaluating their performance and conducting professional development programs. Ensures that the department’s overall operational objectives are met or supported by the group’s productivity and activities.
  • Employee recruiting and training is made easier with tools that make it easier for managers to do anything from administering performance evaluations to enforcing workplace rules to dealing with employee issues.
  • Daily rounding should be visible and present to facilitate patient flow and to ensure patient and provider satisfaction. Available to respond immediately and expeditiously to hurdles or impediments to everyday processes. Create a staffing strategy that takes consumer expectations and cost limits into account. Create a climate conducive to good transformation via staff participation and feedback.

Skills:

  • Two (2) or more years of related experience (healthcare administration and/or resident services administration)
  • A bachelor’s degree in health care, business administration, or a similar discipline from an approved institution or university is highly recommended.
  • Personnel, residents/patients, families, guests, as well as government agencies/staff and the general public must be able to engage with one another politely.
  • Working with and supervising others is a must-have skill for everyone in this position.
  • Nursing practices and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal guidelines (including Medicare reimbursement criteria), as well as all laws, regulations, and standards pertaining to long-term care administration.
