We’re currently on the lookout for a talented Investment Associate to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the firm’s advisors in managing their workloads and delivering exceptional service to their clients. This person will support client relationships by seeing that their needs are addressed, fielding questions from clients, helping advisors get ready for review meetings with clients, and handling any other tasks that come up. The ideal applicant would have a strong grasp of technology and a thorough attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Create and cancel accounts, grant power of attorney and trading authorization as necessary, link life insurance and annuity accounts, finish client registrations, and promptly respond to and carry out client service requests.
  • Trades in fixed income and equity securities are recorded in the appropriate ledgers.
  • Create and maintain client files, prepare client forms and reports and originating correspondence as requested by the firm’s Advisor.
  • Key responsibilities on deal teams include sourcing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and writing investment memoranda for fund and co-investment deals.
  • Serving as front desk support, including greeting customers and guests, answering phones in a friendly manner, directing callers to the right department, and taking detailed messages when necessary are all part of your responsibilities as a customer service representative.
  • Create and maintain client files, as well as necessary reports and databases, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Review all messages sent via electronic means and respond accordingly; deal with any concerns and complaints in a professional manner and with a focus on finding and fixing them as soon as possible.
  • Maintain current client information in the contact database and contact management system for reporting, scheduling, tracking fees, and marketing purposes.
  • Check the condition of all shared office equipment and notify the facilities manager if anything seems amiss. Upkeep of office supplies including assuring a constant supply of necessities like break room supplies.
  • The correct disposal of all customer information necessitates the routine destruction of obsolete records via shredding.

Skills:

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred, although work experience and college credits earned will also be considered.
  • It is preferable to have prior experience with Redtail, Orion, Morningstar, MoneyGuidePro, and Wells Fargo Advisors.
  • Candidates should have a background in finance or a related field (billing, accounting, purchasing, mathematics, etc.).
  • The candidate must have prior expertise in client management or customer service. It would include being attuned to the needs of one’s clientele, coming up with workable solutions, and putting them into action.
  • Ability to function independently and effectively under time constraints in a hectic atmosphere.
