Full-Time Lifeguard – Kamalia
Job Description
Lifeguards are responsible for the monitoring and safety of pool users and spectators by teaching and encouraging safe leisure practices and attitudes, as well as enforcing safety laws and reacting appropriately to emergencies. Individuals must be able to operate individually as well as a member of a larger staff team. This work demands the ability to interact with the public in a range of scenarios in a polite and respectful manner. Special events, nights, weekends, and split hours may necessitate lifeguards.

Qualifications:
- Assist in the maintenance of a variety of accident reports; and the ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English in order to execute the tasks of this job.
- Cleans the pool and pool area in preparation for the summer season, including cleaning the pool, cleaning the pool decks, cleaning and placing the pool furniture and lifeguard equipment, cleaning the bathhouse, cleaning the fence and flower bed areas.
- Observes and enforces the Club’s safety rules and regulations on all members and visitors when they are in the pool area.
- To provide aquatic services for the club, such as offering swim lessons, supervising group swim activities, and aiding with other aquatic program activities.
- Maintain pool patron safety and well-being by recording, monitoring, and enforcing all pool rules and regulations during swim instruction and Family Hours.
- The set norms and policies, as well as the safe working practices and procedures, are followed when it comes to pool safety.
- Surveillance and rescue tactics are provided, as well as assistance with responsibilities such as accident prevention and offering water safety services as needed.
- Your job is to keep the pool deck and break room clean as well as the restrooms, drains, and pipes.
- Provides exceptional customer service by answering courteously to members’ and visitors’ enquiries; giving information within the assigned area; and addressing concerns in a timely and effective way.
- In order to keep up with pool water chemistry, monitors the pool deck, pool house, and gutters.
Skills:
- CPR, lifeguarding, and community first aid training are all required for professional rescuers via the American Red Cross at this time.
- It is important to have at least three months of experience as a lifeguard.
- It is necessary to be able to build and maintain good working connections with coworkers, departments, and members of the public.
- For this job, a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Working with children and people with impairments is a vital need.
