This role drives brand performance, brand equity, and market share through unique consumer insights. The Marketing Associate helps the Manager build consumer communications and innovation strategies for the brand and helps the team gain a full grasp of the company’s target audience and design memorable brand experiences. The Marketing Associate leads and implements projects that add to the brand’s communications and innovation plans. This job collaborates with agency partners on communications strategy, planning, and execution. This role collaborates with sales, shopper marketing, operations, product development, and finance to drive brand demand.

- Help the brand’s customers understand the brand’s identity, essence, vision, mission, and fundamental values so that they may effectively communicate and innovate on behalf of the brand.
- Manage agencies and cross-functional teams, develop and implement a communication strategy, and track its progress and results as it relates to reaching a defined audience or set of touchpoints.
- Manage consumer communications projects that create a creative domain that brings the brand to life and allows for effective consumer communication through a digital and social first approach.
- Research the consumer/brand demand landscape with the help of digital intelligence technologies.
- Identify innovation and renovation opportunities and lead initiatives in support of the brand’s nutrition health and wellness proposition.
- Makes use of brand, customer, and market data and trends to inform the manager’s annual plan for coordinating marketing and sales operations to maximize brand demand.
- Utilize market and consumer data and trends to gain a more in-depth understanding of the demographics, psychographics, and behavioral motivators of the brand’s consumer or a specific consumer category.
- Manage brand initiatives and tasks in a way that exhibits an awareness of the most important consumer insights and the capacity to apply them to pertinent communications and innovation initiatives.
- Help figure out how to best communicate with customers and organize your campaign so that you may contact them when and where it matters most to them.
Skills:
- A bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience working in consumer marketing, brand management, or product management are prerequisites. Alternatively, a master’s degree in business, marketing, an MBA, or a closely related discipline is necessary.
- Prior experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies is preferred.
- Prior expertise developing strategic brand/product plans (including but not limited to marketing strategies and commercialization blueprints) is preferred.
- It would be an asset if you have prior expertise analyzing data and trends to deduce patterns in consumer behavior.
- Leading marketing communication projects, preferably with a focus on digital and media strategy, is a plus.
