Job Description
Working in a laboratory requires assistance from a Lab Technician. As time goes on, Lab Technicians are taking on more and more responsibilities. As part of quality control, lab technicians are in charge of monitoring processes and doing product testing. Chemists and other team members supervise them as they carry out routine lab tasks including setting up equipment and creating chemical solutions. As well as doing tests and gathering data, they also create and present their findings in the form of reports and other output.

Qualifications:
- Buffer preparation, equipment maintenance, general lab upkeep, inventory of common goods, and coordination of these tasks with the other technicians will be core lab duties.
- In order to assist with batch changes, root cause investigations, or new product assessments, you may create product mixes and evaluate them. Utilize the most up-to-date analytical testing procedures on the raw materials, in-process materials, and completed product materials.
- A thorough understanding of the Lab Scope and all related lab documents and procedures must be ensured.
- Maintains lab equipment in excellent working condition and does additional jobs as specified, both as part of a team and on his or her own.
- Incorporates established competence and workstation operating criteria to assist in training and orientation of new workers, students, or residents. Monitor and maintain supplies for the tasks that fall within the purview of this role; make efficient use of materials and reagents.
- Returning the findings of sample preparation, weight, and combusting to lab scientists Assistance to Regulatory Laboratories employees throughout laboratory study set-up and spike phases, and sample processing and analysis after that.
- Performs High Complexity testing only with technician supervision or Supervisor/Manager evaluation. Follows established guidelines for critical, abnormal, and unsatisfactory test findings.
- Chromatography column packing, cycle studies, stability studies, material manufacture, and analytical aids are only some of the possible additional duties (HPLC, ELISA, SDS-PAGE).

- Analyses and presents data in formal and informal contexts, making recommendations where appropriate. Results are examined and published with minimal oversight.
Skills:
- Frequent need to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell. Most of the time, the worker has to stand, walk, and sit. The worker must often carry or lift up to 25 pounds.
- This role requires previous manufacturing experience or a mix of education and training. For admission, a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from a four-year institution or university is necessary.
- Abilities to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with numbers using 10s and 100s, as well as add and subtract with numbers of two digits. The ability to carry out these procedures with units of American money as well as weight measurement, volume measurement, and distance measurement.
- High school graduation or equivalent, plus 12 semester units of chemistry or bacteriology. A year in a lab
- Words with two and three syllables, as well as the capacity to recognize the similarities and differences between word and numerical sequences. Communication skills that include writing and speaking in simple terms.
