The Practice Manager’s role is to oversee office efficiency and employee engagement in order to ensure that our practices deliver amazing patient care in collaboration with an Area Clinical Director and Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Scheduling associates, scheduling vacation time, and managing continuing education requirements
  • The Practice Manager, in collaboration with the Chief of Staff, manages the hospital’s day-to-day operations.
  • Budgeting for and overseeing the procurement of routine office supplies and equipment.
  • Work with HR to identify, probe, and address employee issues during the hiring, retaining, and firing of personnel.
  • process analysis and implementation for office activities like payroll processing, cash handling, and invoice handling.
  • Maintain a risk-free workplace by adhering to all applicable office safety policies, as well as local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Hospital leadership should be kept informed alongside Clinical and Practice Management Executives during the goal-setting and problem-solving processes.
  • Keep the office at a comfortable temperature so that employees can provide excellent service to patients.
  • Manage staffing, monitor progress of daily assignments of clinical, clerical and billing staff.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in software systems for data compilation, storage, and retrieval in order to produce reports for upper management.

Skills:

  • At least three years of experience in the field is required (in healthcare, veterinary medicine, or customer service, for example) (includes hiring, associate development, etc.).
  • Must be able to coordinate all departmental activities and interact verbally and in writing with patients, physicians, and other departments.
  • A foundational understanding of employee privacy, documentation, and HR/employment law is required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and solve problems, as well as the guts to face and address issues within the team.
  • Two or more years in an equivalent office management role will be considered.
