You will oversee the concept creation and execution of cutting-edge strategies and the related creative standards that establish or uphold brand equities for new and existing products across our various portfolios. By managing and mentoring a team of design professionals (graphic designers, industrial designers, photographers, illustrators, etc.), participating in multi-disciplinary cross-functional teams (strategists, marketers, copywriters, etc.), and frequently collaborating with external consultants, freelancers, and agency partners, this position supports and drives the department’s overall efforts and strategic vision. The Creative Director will confidently and modestly provide senior management with high priority initiatives. The creative director must be able to defend their work and articulate the design logic while remaining receptive to suggestions and different viewpoints. Your success in this profession depends on your capacity to express your vision succinctly, both orally and visually. Candidates for this position must exhibit comfort and a desire to work in dynamic environments, such as brainstorming sessions and collaborative workshops.

- Conducts internal reviews of creative projects with team; guides, coaches and mentors subordinate staff.
- Research the creative industry; keep up with trends and innovation.
- Ensures that communication between the creative function and business partners is prompt and informative.

- Provides compelling, well-organized, and directly-targeted presentations to clients that are backed by a sound argument and strategy and are presented in a way that is easy to understand and persuasive.
- Participates actively in brand briefings; successfully accepts and challenges alternative proposals based on brand creative strategy.
- Upholds, conveys, and builds upon the visual identity of the product’s brand. Maintains and shares brand identity and design guidelines as required.
- Collaborates with Account Management’s head and other department heads to set goals, deadlines, and deliverables while staying within set financial parameters.
- Serves as an internal and external advocate for the brand’s equity and governance, helping to ensure that it is consistently represented.

- Intermediate knowledge of the Apple Macintosh platform, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of package creation, including but not limited to the most typical elements, processes, and costs.
- Capable of maintaining composure in high-stakes situations, as well as adapting to and juggling several priorities with ease.
- Master’s Degree in design, advertising, or communications plus 6 years of graphic design, communications, or advertising experience to include package design experience reflecting increasing levels or responsibility.
- An expert in formulating design strategies and in improving designs as they are developed and put into use.
