A key player and leader on the hospital management team is the practice manager. By generating revenue, controlling expenses, and fostering a hospital culture centered on superior patient care and outstanding customer service, the practice manager collaborates with the lead physician to ensure a seamless and successful operation. Managing, organizing, and coordinating the hospital’s general operations are among the responsibilities, as is fostering a supportive and cooperative work environment. Excellent social skills, a cheerful outlook, compassion, proactive initiative, problem-solving, common sense, and the capacity to multitask are requirements for this profession. When dealing with clients, it’s crucial that you exhibit empathy and effective communication. You will also be in charge of offering clients and suppliers human resource services. You might occasionally need to train both new and seasoned personnel, as well as handle customer or employee problems.

  • Maintain a risk-free workplace by following all applicable office and corporate safety protocols and local, state, and federal health and safety requirements.
  • Review and organize office procedures, including but not limited to payroll, cash management, invoice processing, and other administrative duties.
  • Administration of employee schedules, including time off requests and CEU fulfillment.
  • Coordinate efforts and check in on the day-to-day progress of the clinical, administrative, and billing staff.
  • Together with the chief of staff, the hospital’s daily activities are supervised by the Practice Manager.
  • Work with HR to identify, probe, and address personnel issues in the recruitment, retention, and termination of staff.
  • Manage the process of creating and executing office budgets, as well as the acquisition of routine office supplies and equipment.
  • Communicate with the hospital to help with problem-solving and objective-setting in cooperation with Clinical and Practice Management Leadership.
  • Care for patients and serve clients in a pleasant setting.
  • Maintain a current familiarity with data gathering, storage, and retrieval software platforms in order to produce accurate managerial reports.


  • Three years of experience in a related field (medicine, veterinary medicine, customer service, etc.), with at least one year of that in a supervisory role, is required (includes hiring, associate development, etc.).
  • Confidentiality, documentation, and HR/employment law fundamentals understanding required.
  • The equal amount of time in an office management role (2+ years) will be considered.
  • Excellent communication skills, the capacity to confront and resolve conflicts with employees, and the ability to think and act strategically are all essential.
  • It is vital to be able to manage all departmental tasks and interface (both verbally and in writing) with patients, physicians, and other departments.
