The Office Clerk’s responsibilities will span a wide range of secretarial and administrative tasks in support of the facility’s local operations. Contribute to the smooth running of the office and the building by carrying out a variety of duties.

Qualifications:

  • General Office Administration — Handle a variety of office-related daily responsibilities, including but not limited to phone duties, filing and organizing, and general cleanliness, etc., to maintain the proper running of the Support Office.
  • Accurately and quickly reply to customer communications, investigate and resolve problems.
  • Clerical/administrative tasks must be completed in line with established procedures and under general supervision.
  • Print, scan and update documents in accordance to established office practices. Create and file documents relating to the operation of the facility.
  • Files and records should be kept up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Help with administrative and office support tasks such as maintaining office records and employee files and fielding routine questions about company policy.
  • Accounting Functions– Work with various accounting tasks throughout the financial period including data entry, payroll, invoices, credits, inventory, billing, and production reporting.
  • Collaboration is defined as working with other people to help a team or group complete its tasks.
  • Keep an eye on the supply of paper clips, stationary, and other office essentials, and let management know if they start running low.
  • Create spreadsheets and carry out other office duties such as word processing using a computer and standard office equipment.

Skills:

  • a history of working as a secretary or in another administrative role.
  • knowledge of standard accounting procedures and office practices.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers, truck drivers, office personnel, and management.
  • capability of learning about the trucking and carpet padding fields
  • a typist with experience who can take dictation fast
