Full-Time Resource Geologist – Orchha
Job Description
Each day, the Geologist uses software to determine ore control based on blast hole survey and assay data. Maintain blasthole database integrity, provide month-end mine production reports, and monitor resource model vs. mined performance metrics.

Qualifications:
- Geological and risk assessment papers are required to be inspected by district or division authorities before submissions for solid waste and waste cleanup may be considered complete. Evaluate plans and documents provided by supervisors or managers for site repairs.
- Examples of project management include preparing ideas and estimates, developing processes for corrections, monitoring implementation and construction, and mentoring.
- Remedial investigations, system designs, feasibility studies, action plans for remediation, groundwater monitoring plans and reports, cost estimations and technical documentation are some of the things they may have to undertake.
- One of the most common things to do is to record soil boreholes and keep track of drilling and well installation. There will be tests on samples of soil and groundwater.
- Management will need daily reporting. Companies must monitor inventories and transmit samples.
- Permits and papers that are technically correct, clear, understandable and in accordance with the stipulated regulations instructions and procedures should be produced if necessary.
- Strong computer abilities, such as Word, Excel, and database applications, are desirable; experience with ArcGIS and CAD is a bonus. General building and mechanical abilities are a bonus, as is familiarity with and functional understanding of remedial systems.
- The Project Manager should be informed of any issues that arise, such as cost and time overruns, client-requested scope modifications, potential liability exposure, or anything else that may affect the project’s success and safety.
- Drillers have a variety of responsibilities, including setting up drilling rigs, conveying management goals to drilling crews, and keeping in touch with them to stay on top of issues like mechanical problems, hole quality, and surveys, to name a few.
- The person in this position also has to make plans for monitoring water quality and evaluate the results of environmental sampling.
Skills:
- In a mining or industrial plant, severe temperatures, humidity, electrical shock, and dangerous chemicals and explosives are possible.
- At least a bachelor’s degree in geology from an accredited school or university, plus at least 20 semester hours in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological science and structural and mineral engineering, as well as petroleum engineering and computer science.
- The ability to carry out field and site inspections for the installation of groundwater monitoring wells at solid waste industries and defunct landfills.
- A focus on correctness and delicacy; data collection and the creation of geological maps capable of using Microsoft’s programs Management of many projects
- To be eligible for this job, you must have either one year of specialized experience in the federal government or education that is equal to the GS-07. To meet this requirement, you must have worked in the field collecting, analyzing, and reporting on soil and rock sample data, as well as providing standard data to higher-level specialists, conducting studies or investigations, and/or helping to manage mineral locateable and saleable activities.
