Job Description

There must be an understanding of complicated rigging, heavy rigging, changing crane boom and cable, electrical safety, ladder and scaffold safety, introduction to lifting machines, fundamental rigging and wire rope basics as well as basic knowledge of blueprint reading for the Rigger. Obtaining certification from an NCCER-accredited institution is strongly recommended for all riggers. Using and operating work-related items and equipment must be done safely and effectively. All safety risks associated with this position have to be well studied and understood. Working in a factory or on a construction site will be a must.
