Job Description

The Sales Clerk uses professional selling skills to market common products to clients. Works as part of a sales team to deliver service that anticipates and exceeds the expectations of customers. Assists with all areas of the Food and Beverage Convenience Bar’s entire operation, including but not limited to: opening and shutting the Convenience Bar, preparing, displaying, refilling commodities, and cleaning stations and equipment as needed.

You must be able to talk to the store manager or supervisor about new items coming in, products being taken off the shelves because they aren’t selling well or there aren’t enough of them, and many other things. Customer service, improving work performance, meeting sales goals, etc., are all talked about in department meetings where employees actively take part.
  • Move old goods and display products correctly and in accordance with safety requirements to make room for new things on shelves. Manage the order entry tasks for inside sales. Demonstrate a feeling of urgency and an active mentality.
  • Everything from setup to maintenance to warranties is included in the purchase of the equipment. The product’s details are made plain and comprehensible to customers.
  • Engages in dialogue with customers in order to help them make a purchase. Assists consumers in making product selections and recommends additional items to complete their purchases. If a product comes with a warranty, provide customers the opportunity to purchase an extended warranty. Explain the plan’s benefits and drawbacks.
  • Purchase essential products by scanning shelf tags or inputting numbers into an order machine. Follow correct processes to achieve out-of-stock targets.
  • Our objective is to have all of our customers round up their purchases. Utilize the correct procedures at the cash register.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all corporate and store regulations, including, but not limited to, opening and closing responsibilities, pricing, markdowns, and correct and timely submission of needed documentation.


  • HS diploma or equivalent preferred. At least 16 years old Continuous standing, bending, reaching, and handwork Frequent 5-lb. weightlifting
  • Customer service, inventory management, and general store maintenance all need standing. Workers move around in a variety of ways, including walking, standing, and bending. Squat down and kneel. Push and pull to raise and lower objects.
  • Experience working in retail, restaurants, or fast food establishments for a period of one year, along with the capacity to interact with customers and manage money. My experience dealing with financial matters is rather extensive.
  • Must be trustworthy and on time for work every day, be able to lead others and learn from and teach others, and do other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Experience in retail sales with excellent customer service and basic computer and Microsoft Office abilities are necessary.
