Job Description
We’re on the hunt for a Lead Designer who can apply their human-centered design expertise across a range of initiatives influencing the healthcare experience for both patients and medical professionals. You’ll work with interdisciplinary groups to analyze problems, pinpoint solutions, assess prospects, generate ideas, and guide stakeholders toward practical innovation. Opportunities presented by digital healthcare technology are at the center of our efforts (think software, not devices). The Lead Designer may oversee other designers and collaborate extensively with many different parties. Understanding genuine human needs is essential, as is a willingness to align potential solutions with critical operational, clinical, or business requirements.

Qualifications:
- Capable of convincing others of the merits of design strategy and (human-centered design (HCD)) across the whole organization.
- Makes use of a variety of methods (market research, interviews with stakeholders, contextual inquiry/ethnographic observation, etc.) to gather primary and secondary data in order to answer research questions and better understand the topic.
- Operates primarily independently, with weekly project instruction from supervisor.
- Capable of leading stakeholder meetings, user groups, and participatory design workshops to collect ideas, feedback, and needs.
- Establishes and shares norms for how employees should behave and how the company operates so that everyone feels empowered to do their best and trusts in the organization’s leadership.
- builds appropriate project targets, aims, and plans of action to frame the beginning stages of work in a way that will pay dividends.
- Makes use of ethnographic design research techniques to glean qualitative insights that may then be applied to projects, products, and overall business strategy.
- Capable of working with and building connections with product managers, business leaders, and clinical/operational champions.
- Employees are coached, directed, and given leadership support in order to meet department, corporate, and customer goals. Conducts and oversees the completion of performance evaluations.
