Qualifications:
- Resolves design issues at County Park facilities in response to requests, comments, complaints, and ideas from the public and other stakeholders.
- In the case of hillside overlay sites, conduct a site inspection to confirm that all criteria, including as the maximum disturbance fence, landscape retention or removal, onsite grading, and preservation zones, are being adhered to
- Coordination and organization of community engagement sessions, public meetings, or internal meetings for park initiatives are coordinated and organized by this position.
- Research in the field is necessary to understand the current situation, evaluate previous reports and data, inventory current landscaping and improvement projects, collect field measurements and identify development restrictions and possibilities.
- The function of a manager includes managing and organizing the work of consultants, as well as creating performance objectives and budget estimations, as well as completing progress payment reviews.
- To ensure that the final landscape and irrigation plan assessments meet zoning code standards, planning staff and other divisions should work together.
- Engineering, architectural design as well as agency professionals work together to ensure that a design is consistent with regulatory requirements, provides added benefit to a client’s projects as well as being sustainable and resilient to the weather and elements of time and change.
- When the department needs help with construction administration and inspections as well as field investigations to get information for design or facilities work, the landscape architect helps. They also help with ADA compliance assessments and facility/site condition evaluation
- Before delivering the Certificate of Occupancy or financial assurance money, ensure that the final landscaping and irrigation designs are in compliance with the approved plans.
- Construction papers must be created using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and LandFX, and they must have an appealing visual design solution. To produce novel aesthetic design solutions, it is necessary to have the capability and initiative to do so.
Skills:
- Design and construction techniques for landscape architecture based on modern technology, design ideas, and certain technical principles.
- Supervises the development of contract plans, specifications and estimates, bid packages, and any other contract documents that may be required for the construction projects that have been allocated to him.
- BSc in Landscape Architecture or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution or university. Experience as a Landscape Architect: 5 years; 1 year at a governmental agency The college degree requirement may be waived if you have relevant work
- Be able to work on many projects and problems at the same time and self-manage schedules according to PM requirements or project milestones.
- It is necessary to be familiar with the fundamentals of landscape architecture, as well as the methods and supplies used in the creation of landscape designs and projects.
