We’re seeking for a courageous and responsible Utility Clerk that is also cheerful and passionate about their work! Our Utility Clerk will be responsible for a range of activities at the store’s front end, including providing excellent customer service, collecting carts, and cleaning. A Utility Clerk is a self-starter who works well in a team. A Utility Clerk must be able to work quickly, have an eye for detail, and give an exceptional customer experience to all of our clients.

Qualifications:
- When a product is purchased, the cardboard is removed off the shelf, and the cardboard is deposited in a bailer. This ensures and maintains outstanding product presentation.
- frequent equipment checks and notifying the relevant department or store manager of any issues found.
- Maintains a polite and customer-service-oriented demeanor by welcoming customers, answering queries, and carrying items when necessary.
- Execute the appropriate documentation and collect the required payments to set up new water connections. Monthly bill management and bill generation are not required. Customers’ money is collected by the Water Crane.
- Order and distribute supplies to workers; supply and load printer paper and ribbons; post bulletins and notifications; and complete and distribute reports as required.
- Implement safe and efficient procedures for operating a floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler that adhere to established safety standards.
- The ability to respond to customer inquiries and provide product recommendations by learning about the products available in each area and keeping that knowledge.
- Communicate with management on any occurrences, activities, or issues that take place on the store’s premises; maintains a clean parking lot.
- Spill cleaning and other basic housekeeping tasks need specific equipment when performed by employees who are responsible for doing custodial and retail upkeep.
- Adherence to business safety policies and procedures is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary working and shopping environment. Maintains strict adherence to all business policies and procedures.
Skills:
- One to three months of relevant experience and/or training; a combination of education and experience that is equivalent; or a high school diploma or general educational degree (GED).
- Use of whole numbers and common fractions in addition to decimals when multiplying and dividing in all units of measure. The ability to calculate percentages, ratios, and other ratios. Accuracy in counting back change, counting money, and keeping a cash drawer in balance are required.
- To be able to read and write English in a clear and concise way. The ability to communicate effectively with the public and one’s coworkers is essential.
- Juggling phone calls and clients at the same time is not an issue for this person. Data entry errors can’t be tolerated if you’re not meticulous. It’s essential that you know how to use a calculator and the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word. Must have a strong focus on providing excellent service to the public and a strong desire to do so.
- This position requires the ability to read and understand complex technical documents. The ability to write simple letters is required. Customers, customers, and other workers of the company must be able to receive and interpret information in one-on-one and small group circumstances.
