We are seeking a Tax Associate to join our office. You will prepare a variety of individual, entity, trust, estate, and gift tax returns while providing high-quality tax services that will allow you to grow professionally and contribute to the firm’s reputation. As a Tax Associate, you will get training in a variety of areas of taxes, as well as in the recording of tax paperwork and other projects, all of which will be overseen by seniors, supervisors, managers, and partners.

Qualifications:

- learning how to assemble and record financial statements from bank accounts and other sources, as well as how to construct personal balance sheets and net worth statements based on this information
- In this case, the person in charge of reporting any procedures or processes that don’t meet regulations, as well as any fraud that is suspected or confirmed, to management.
- Prepare memoranda and client letters, research tax issues, and come up with opinions and recommendations on different tax issues.
- Following all applicable regulations and laws, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering requirements, as well as the company’s own internal procedures and processes.
- Monitor all compliance and filing status, as well as aid in the preparation of tax returns, extensions of time to file, projected tax payments, and other tax compliance operations.
- Tax and payroll calculations, as well as projections of international assignment costs, are performed. Expatriate and international assignee, as well as foreign nationals and other mobile or remote employees, are required to complete tax returns, equalization calculations, and other miscellaneous tax forms.
Skills:
- Understanding and interpreting safety regulations, operating and maintenance guidelines, and procedure manuals.. Being able to communicate effectively via the written word. Clearly and succinctly address questions from business employees and the general public. The ability to communicate successfully with people is a must. Possession of the ability to do basic math operations with whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in all measurement units. The capacity to compute percentages, ratios, and rates, as well as to create and interpret bar graphs.
- An organized and adaptable professional with a proven track record of successfully managing several projects and processes while meeting both internal and external deadlines with strict attention to detail.
- Telephone, personal computer, printer, copy machine, and fax machine operation skills. Working understanding of software tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Sheets, and Oracle. Expertise with computers is an asset.
- This position requires the possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting as well as CPA certification. It also requires 3-6 years of tax experience with a big CPA firm or the corporate tax department of a publicly traded corporation, as well as the ability to collaborate with others.
- There must be a reliable means of transportation for the commute to and from the office and for any other business-related events, such as conferences and meetings with clients.
