Job Description
The Truck Driver position is physically demanding (responsible for loading and unloading at client locations), and it necessitates meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. Truck drivers must also be willing to connect with clients, listen to their demands, and operate delivery vehicles safely in accordance with corporate and DOT guidelines.

Qualifications:
- By being active, adaptable, and enthusiastic in your contacts with colleagues and customers, you may contribute to a team approach.
- Establish a regular departure time from the warehouse, along with a manifest identifying the driver’s identification and the destinations for deliveries and/or pickups.
- Performs and sends in reports. Before and after the trip, supervisors are told about any flaws or inadequacies that have been found.
- Candidate safety is foremost, therefore they dress correctly, including a helmet and gloves.
- A truck driver’s day is divided into two parts: driving and other activities such as delivery, handling, shipping orders/paperwork, customer engagement, and vehicle AM and PM inspections.
- We’ll be loading and unloading goods by hand and with heavy equipment throughout the day, so you’ll need to be able to lift 75 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- When delivering goods to customers, a truck driver must provide excellent customer service.
- Confirm the seal number with a store employee after unloading and account for any shortages, mislabeled items, or returns.
- Handheld computers manage client transaction paperwork as well as regulatory duties including Hazmat preparation, vehicle inspection reports, load reports, and trip reports. Truck drivers follow a Route and Sequence delivery plan that is created by a computer.
- It is necessary to work outside in all kinds of weather.
Skills:
- A valid Class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) and the ability to operate transportation equipment safely are required (such as tractor-trailer combinations).
- Ability to pass any background checks and/or drug tests that may be necessary as part of the contract
- Must be familiar with DOT laws and possess BC driver certifications.
- You must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently to understand, give, and receive guidance.
- Two years of driving experience is necessary, or completion of a truck driver training school’s course.
