According to company policy, a Utility Clerk is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly shop. Engages with customer service, delivers groceries, locates items, and does price verifications. Ensures a clean, safe, and pleasant shopping experience for customers by performing a variety of customer service activities.

- Regular housekeeping activities such as sweeping and mopping the floors, aiding with fast spill clean-ups, and completing other jobs that need specific equipment.
- Ensures that the floor scrubber, garbage compactor, and cardboard baler equipment are operated in a safe and efficient way, in accordance with set safety requirements
- frequent equipment checks and notifying the relevant department or store manager of any issues found.
- The capacity to reply to customers’ questions and propose items by learning about the products offered in each area and maintaining that knowledge..
- carry out routine office work including purchasing and delivering supplies to teams, filling printers with paper and ink ribbons, disseminating bulletins and notices, and creating and distributing reports as needed. Carry out administrative duties to the letter of the law
- Shoppers’ shopping trolleys are collected and stored . Ensures that the parking lot is kept neat and notifies the management of any events, activities, or problems that occur on the store’s property.
- Excellent product presentation is established and maintained by placing items in designated area, removing cardboard from shelves when products are purchased, and putting the cardboard into a bailer.
- Obtains all of the necessary paperwork and deposits for new water connections. It is monitored and produces monthly billing statements. The Water Crane is tasked with collecting funds.
