Job Description

Qualifications:
- Provides support to other members of the Technical Services team for projects that aren’t video-related.
- helps develop, test, evaluate, and update the video style palette.
- Plans, directs, and records video shoots using knowledge of videography, production, and post-production techniques.
- Coordinates with the Director of Multimedia and Media Coordinator on media ingest scheduling and coverage plans.
- Works with the Technical Director to determine what equipment is needed and then acquires it, leases it, or gets it on loan, as appropriate, within the established budget.
- Educates the appropriate personnel about the technical specifications and operation of the required technical gear for each event.
- Ensures that all team members and location staff have access to the necessary papers and are on the same page prior to production.
- Contributes to the Technical Services group by helping with video creation and editing.
- Advises the Technical Director and the Deputy Director of Operations on the purchase of major video equipment.
- Lighting, sound, backdrops, and any other special considerations should all be planned out in advance of the actual video production dates.
Skills:
- At least five years of experience in digital and multi-media work (including videography and video editing) and a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in a related discipline.
- Discretionary handling of sensitive data is not new to you.
- Capability to work well with a wide variety of on-screen talent, team members, partners, and stakeholders.
- Capacity to teach and/or work successfully with the part-time video production team and partners from other internal and external organizations.
- Capability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-departmental team setting.
