Qualifications:
- You can provide a hand with media relations by making suggestions, conducting research, and, if necessary, arranging for interviews.
- amassing information, producing content, and disseminating official newsletters and press releases.
- Collaborate closely with the cameraperson or filmmaker to aid in the gathering of footage and stills.
- Add weekly and monthly social media posts to the content calendar.
- Competent in relevant social channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and others.
- Contribute to the Division’s advertising campaigns by assisting the Marketing Coordinator with copywriting.
- Write news releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and appeal letters as needed for public relations.
- Take part in brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas, help shape the direction of the project, and define your role in making your ideas a reality.
- The marketing coordinator will need to work with the media relations manager to establish and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national media.
- Help keep tabs on client placement by following up with media contacts.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of marketing strategy and how to use the ideas in various forms of outreach
- Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are all programs that you are well-versed in and have experience with.
- creative and multitalented individual who finds satisfaction in weaving together narrative elements of text, image, and motion.
- being adept at using relevant social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and other new ones.
- GED or an equivalent mix of education and experience in lieu of a high school graduation is necessary.
